Kats Outlast Butler County CC 110–104 Behind Trio of Double-Doubles
The Erie Community College men's basketball team put together a strong offensive performance Saturday, defeating Butler County Community College 110–104.
Terrance Walker Jr. led the way with a dominant all-around effort, recording a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds while also adding six assists and six steals. Walker controlled the tempo on both ends of the floor and sparked the Kats throughout the contest.
William Jefferson Issah also turned in a double-double, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds and providing a steady presence in the paint. Moudou Diakhate added a third double-double for Erie, posting 18 points and a game-high 13 rebounds as the Kats controlled the boards.
As a team, Erie was efficient at the foul line, shooting 70 percent from the free throw line, which helped the Kats withstand Butler County's late push and close out the win.
The Kats will play one final game before the semester break when they travel to Lakeland Community College on Tuesday.
