Erie Men’s Bowling Takes Second in Regional Match
The Erie Community College men's bowling team's 5,504 pins was good enough for second place out of five teams in last week's virtual match.
Last week's competition was the second of five weekly virtual competitions between Erie, Herkimer College, Mohawk Valley Community College, Corning Community College and Suffolk County Community College. The format provides the competitors with a new oil pattern each week and consists of five of the five-man games and three baker games.
Sophomore Eric Engler led the Kats and was fifth overall with 1,058 pins (211.6 average). He finished with a team-high 248 in his second game. Freshman Robert Dombrowski finished seventh with 1,038 pins (207.6). This week's tournament was played on the Kegel Challenge Series Beaten Path oil pattern.
