The Erie women's volleyball team traveled to Binghampton, NY for PD play on Saturday with their seven match win streak on the line. With an all-team effort, the Kats added two more wins to that total!
First Erie took care of Corning Community College, defeating the Red Barons25-15, 25-20 and 25-8 to make it eight in a row. The ninth win came against the host Hornets 25-17, 25-18 and 25-12. The Kats are now 11-7 on the season.
"It was a great day as we were steady, controlled and played at our pace all afternoon." said Coach Craig Starzynski.
Leading the way for Erie in kills was Delia Lake with 30 while Ciana Wiseman had 24 digs and Allison Gummo had 53 assists.
Starzynski said of his players, "Delia had a monster day attacking. Her and Allie are clicking as well as any other setter and middle blocker in our region. Kait had another great day passing and Ciana is anchoring the back row and digging everything."
Erie will play host on Saturday when Herkimer Community College and Mohawk Valley Community college visit the Flickinger Center. The Kats play at 12:00 and 2:00.
