The Erie Community College volleyball team had a strong showing in Sunday's POD play at Niagara, earning two hard-fought five-set victories.
The Kats opened the day by defeating Corning Community College 25–14, 13–25, 25–27, 26–24, 15–9, and followed it up with another five-set win over Onondaga Community College 25–22, 19–25, 25–15, 24–26, 15–13.
Head coach Craig Starzynski praised his team's balanced effort, saying, "Today was huge for us. We got another huge lift from our middles, Erin and Sami. They got us huge kills when we needed them. And Cianna played amazing as our libero."
Erin Parker led the Kats with 23 kills, while Cianna Wiseman anchored the defense with 25 digs. Cianna Marasco and Kadie Benzel guided the offense with 38 and 36 assists, respectively.
